What If?

What’s worse? Never getting the opportunity to try again or fumbling it once it’s in your hands? Don’t you owe it to God to trust Him? Don’t you owe it to yourself and to your generation to fully show up in the world? Isn’t it worth it to keep going?

I lived in my comfort zone for so long before I finally had the courage to venture out. The truth I now hold is that God calls us out of everything we thought we knew. He calls us out of our familiar settings, comfortable environments, and out of our hiding places. He calls us out of the narrative that fears, rejection, and insecurity, created for us.

We are called out into the deep. We have the choice to abandon the past and embrace the future. No more vacillating in uncertainty. What if this time, you throw caution to the wind and just go for it? What if you never needed all the things, you thought were essential to the plot? What if your hope and freedom were never in resources, people, or external validation?

It was always Jesus. He was always the answer and the hope for a future. What if you decide, to believe that He will be with you? What if new life lies beyond the shores of who you thought you had to be?

Who said the story ends when the scenery changes or beloved characters move on? What if who you are and who you were created to be are two very different people? What if the story you’ve been fed was a lie all along? What if there is a Chapter One simply waiting for you to close the books of the past and open a new one?
